Just last week, we were happy to announce that Tonya Mitchell had been named a finalist for the Professional Oklahoma Educators Foundation's Jonathan Tinney Special Education Merit Award. Today, we’re excited to share even bigger news—Mitchell has earned the top honor as this year’s award winner!
The POE Foundation recognized Mitchell for her profound impact on the lives of countless students, helping them build a strong foundation for both success and happiness. She was honored at the POE Foundation Banquet held Friday, April 11, in Oklahoma City, where she was joined by her colleague Carrie Marsh.
