Earlier this month, students at Roosevelt Elementary came together for a community service project to support those in need during the cold winter months. With recent brutal temperatures, their efforts helped ensure that Mayes County residents were better prepared.

Students across all grade levels contributed by donating essential winter items such as socks, hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens. This collective generosity demonstrated Roosevelt Elementary’s commitment to helping others. The project was organized in partnership with Fostering Mayes County, a local organization dedicated to supporting children and families in need.

The Student Lighthouse Team led the way in organizing and promoting the initiative. They encouraged their peers to participate and coordinated donations, showcasing their leadership and dedication to service.

Thanks to the contributions of students, families, and staff, the donation drive made a meaningful difference. The Roosevelt community once again proved the power of teamwork and kindness in making a positive impact on those in need.
