Bringing History to Life in D.C.

Each year PMS 8th grade students who have met the required service hours and other criteria have the opportunity to fly to Washington D.C. for a three day tour of the nation’s capitol as an educational travel experience.

“Pryor 8th grade learners got to experience a once in a lifetime trip in Washington DC! Learners got to experience moving moments such as the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery, honoring the memories of the Holocaust, and paying tribute to the brave sacrifices made by those who lost their lives in Vietnam, Korea, and World War II. They also got to bring their history learning to life and bring the life of George Washington before their eyes at Mount Vernon. Informational tour guides led the way at every stop along their journey as they experienced the birthplace of American democracy and the roots of our country!” remarked Kaleb Trowbridge, PMS social studies teacher.
