Stem Guest Speakers
Roosevelt students, 1st-5th grades, enjoyed STEM speakers in various fields. The 1st and 3rd graders learned about computer programming and coding from a software engineer, Jason McGoldrick. The 2nd and 4th graders learned about environmental conservation from a wildlife biologist, Bobby Gragg. Lastly, the 5th-grade students learned about the design process from an architect, Devin Weddle, who graciously judged the student's own design contest using Tinkercad.

Student Spotlight -- Sawyer Poole-Washington, D.C.

Sawyer, a Roosevelt 3rd Grader, represented our school and community in Washington, D.C. last month during the Courage at Congress event. During her time there, she attended meetings with members of Congress where she presented ideas to be considered regarding food allergy policies.

We are very proud of her!
